Species Notes: Only 6 individual plants are known of this species described by Rebman in 2006. It is very similar to the associated G. invicta, but the fruits are notably different - resembling the fruit of Cylindropuntia. It is possible that this is an intergeneric hybrid of G. invicta and Cylindropuntia, but further study is required.
