Species Notes: This species of Pereskiopsis is used most frequently for seedling grafts of all cacti species. Many growers have this species as grafting stock, but very few grow the plant as a species itself. As a result nearly all the specimens that are found in cultivation are short, rooted cuttings that are soon to be used for a new graft. Rarely is this species allowed to grow to full size and because of this, the flowers are seldom seen.
