Please help! cactus turning yellow and see-through
My cactus is turning yellow and translucent (the picture makes it look brown, but it looks more yellow against sunlight). I've had it for over a year now and it's survived a dorm room and an apartment in the meantime. This cactus has been prone to tipping over (I don't think the roots were ever very...

Help with cactus
Hi! So I’m trying to save the top half of a very small cactus. I’m not very optimistic because I had to cut off a large portion, and it’s not an easily-propagatable part (like a pad). The bottom half died because it had been planted in peat soil, and it never crossed my mind that the seller could ha...

Re: Help with succulents
The pot doesn't have drainage. I've always been worried that that's a problem, but it hasn't really presented any consequences until recently. I just ordered a new pot that does have drainage. I also have grittier soil for repotting the succulents. Unfortunately, the bottom of the droopy succulent w...

Re: Help with succulents
They haven't had any frost recently. I got them in April and they looked healthy then, and they've been kept in a warm place all summer. Thanks for your advice!

Thanks! I'm planning to repot it with better soil, so hopefully it recovers.

Help with succulents
Hi I'm new to growing succulents and I have a few questions! Unfortunately mine have been through a lot because I'm a university student, so I had to take them home for the summer and then bring them back to school. First picture: how long will it take for leaves to grow back on stems? Because the s...

Re: Please help! cactus turning yellow
Thanks so much!! Should I expect the yellow areas to turn green again or is it more likely the damage is permanent?

Please help! cactus turning yellow
Hi hi! I have a small cactus (about 4cm tall) that isn't doing so well and I'm having difficultly figuring out what's wrong with it. My sisters gave it to me as a gift. It's been doing well for the past two years, up until this summer when it started turning yellow from the base (since the picture, ...
