Re: Just bought a variegated Schlumbergera
Hi Shane :) Curious to know how your variegated Schlumbergeras are doing? I have been toying with the idea of trying one myself , but from what I have read they can be pretty unstable ( reverting) and less than hardy..? I'd definitely recommend it. Re: Pereskiopsis Growing Guide
I did a few updates today, adding some info here and there and cleaning up some wording, etc. Thanks to Pereskiopsisdotcom for providing information about freezing temperatures. Another update

Re: Cactus hybrids
Concerning Mammillaria only, do they hybridize (between species)? I have several Mammillarias in bloom now, and many native bees are visiting them. I would like to harvest "pure" seeds, definitely I dont want hybrids. As I don't see too many hybrids in the genus, I'm assuming they will (m...

Re: My GreenHouse Build.
Mike- I am impressed by all your plants and your greenhouse, etc. setup. It's amazing how much water your plants are using. Have you considered coating your terra cotta pots to make them less porous?

Here's how it's doing now. It's grown some and the white and pink parts are more clearly differentiated

Here's what it looks like now. I went ahead and bought it so I could observe what that spot turns into. Looks like monstrose growth to me

It looks like it's growing a group of new areoles. I'll get a better picture later
