Re: Re-potting help needed!

Hi and thanks for the replies With regards to separating the plants in the pots I think I’ll endeavour to remove as much of the potting mix as I can using running water through a sieve so not to block my drains!!! From looking at the pots I suspect that the potting media is just normal Maltese soil ...

Re: Re-potting help needed!

Thanks for the reply. Roots are my worry as I don’t want to cause too much damage to them when separating the individual plants. I’ve seen vids of people actually washing all of the potting mix from the roots before replanting, was wondering if I was going to have to do this? Most of the pots don’t ...

Re-potting help needed!

Hi all, I’ve just got hold of some plants that need some serious TLC. They were about to be thrown away so I saved them from being chucked in the bin!!! Anyhow the plants, a mix of both cactus and succulent need to be re-potted as there is hardly any growing medium in the pot and I suspect it is of ...

Re: Very unwell Euphorbia!

Sorry pictures were there when I initially made the post! Seems that Photobucket have caught up with my account but being honest I wasn't aware that Photobucket had now started charging $400 a year to share photo's on 3rd party websites. Just wish you could change resolution on an iPhone or iPad and...

Re: Very unwell Euphorbia!

A quick update with some additional pictures. I've now removed the bad parts of the plant that had developed rot and it now looks much better. However, as a total novice to this type of plant I would like to add some additional comments. Some of the stems of the plant are brown at the bottom but the...

Re: Very unwell cactus!

Thanks Aiko for the reply, the advice and identification and I can confirm it does have a thick sticky white sap. Are you able to give me some indication as to what might have caused the issue? the plant has been living under a citrus tree and some of the fruits have fallen, could one have hit the p...

Hello

Hi all, I'm new to forum so thought I'd just say hi to all. My name is Jules, I live in Malta and I'm also new to these types of plants. Malta is very hot in the summer with temperatures over 30 degs C and normally bone dry, the winter months are quite mild with temperatures not usually going below ...
