Re: Gymnocalycium lovers - please help with ID
I would say #2 could be Gymnocalycium Spegazzinii var horizonthalonium #5 could be Gymnocalycium Altagraciense and #6 maybe a Gymnocalycium Quehlianum
#4 could be Gymnocalycium Mucidum but I'm less confident about that one than the others.

Re: A Few More Puchases
Maybe G. leeanum or andreae ? (have yellow flowers) Thank you. I have checked all of the pictures I can find of Gymnocalycium's with yellow flowers and none of them seem to match. I'm leaning towards it being a hybrid of some kind. It's the first plant I have with yellow flowers though, so I'm happ...

Re: SavageTurtle's Cacti
Sorry, I am no expert and I don't mean to confuse you! I had the same feeling that you had when you said about the spines beeing darker and the flowers not quite like a M. zeilmanniana. I had a look on Llifle and the I found one that looks quite similar, but even that one has longer radial spines. ...

Re: Introducing myself
Those plants from Southfield Nurseries look lovely. I had a shipment of plants from them a few weeks back, I was also very happy with my purchases.
Love the yellow flower on your G. Baldianum and your G. Damsii is stunning.

Re: SavageTurtle's Cacti
Hello SavageTurtle! Your cacti are beautiful and it's always nice to see the progress :D Thank you. That last M. zeilmanniana is a really strange looking one :-k Why do you say it's strange looking? Do you not think it is Zeilmanniana? It's extremely similar to my Albiflora Zeilmanniana, just has l...

Re: SavageTurtle's Cacti
Well time for an update on my plants. Things have certainly changed since my last post. I now have over 40 plants, mostly Gymnocalycium's and Mammillaria's but also have many 2 month old seedlings on the go. Here's some pictures of some my flowering cacti this year: Gymnocalycium Baldianum IMG_80851...

Re: A Few More Puchases
Hey again. Neither of the plants have flowers yet, but both have buds. Don't know if these pictures will help, but hoping. Thanks.
