Re: Kalanchoe Beharensis covered in brown spots
Hey thanks for your reply. I just checked under the leaves and there is no sign of any bugs or damage. They only seem to appear on the surface. It is happening to my other Kalanchoes too such as Synsepala (walking Kalanchoe). I have now sprayed them with a anti fungal/rust/fruit scab organic spray. ...

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing
Thanks again Steve. Yes I definitely removed most of the soil off so as to not have a clump large enough to cause rot phew. Good to know that I can leave some bits clinging onto the roots though. What about "cactuses"? I often see people say that. I know its early days but I already ...

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing
Thanks for the further advice i.e. on repotting. I normally leave some soil on the roots but I guess it's better to clean them properly.I have repotted this particular cacti but may do it to others that have not been growing such as my Lophocereus schotti cacti. It's good to know that the Ca and Mg ...

Thank you both for your advice! Much appreciated!
I just got some 4-10mm leca pebbles which should be perfect!
Regarding the JI2 it usually looks plain with no signs of fertiliser granules in it but it does say on my latest pack that it has added nutrients and trace elements.

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing
Thanks guys. I bought some Epsom salts today. Will get some Ca next.? Not sure about how well fertilised the soil is but it shouldn't last long hopefully. I also have a set of measuring spoons which I usually use for cooking but will get a new set to replace them. All this mixing talk reminds me of ...

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing
Glad I checked... Even at half-strength (1 level 5 ml teaspoon per 5 liters of water), the N for your cacti would be too high by a factor of 5. If you don't already have a set of measuring spoons, here's a good set you can buy on Amazon UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Measuring-Stainless-Double-Ended-...

Thanks Steve it is much appreciated!
By the way it seems to have Mg as Magnesium Oxide. You will see it on the label at the bottom.
Thanks again and I look forward to creating the perfect fertiliser for my plants

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing
Just received it today! So far the NPK ratio seems perfect. Good news is it also contains a breakdown of the micro nutrients but unfortunately there is no Ca, Mg or S. Also it is dry so just needs dissolving in water. The guidelines and label are as follows. The measuring spoon it comes with says 5m...

Re: Eulychnia castanea f. varispiralis brown and not growing
Thanks Steve I actually tried contacting them the other day and they said they didn't have an image of the label but that apparently it contains "micro nutrients". Either way I ordered it online so should have it in a few days. Will serve my vining plants well even if it doesn't work out f...

Re: Kalanchoe
thanks I just found it here https://www.uhlig-kakteen.de/en/kalanch ... cross.html
Looks like it is a cross of Beharensis with Maltese Cross (a compact form).
As Beharensis has different shaped leaves and are more green.

Kalanchoe
Hi there Does anyone know what this Kalanchoe may be? I thought it might be Maltease cross but was sure those ones grow very compact. It's not Beharensis as those have triangular leaves with no fenestrations. It can't be fang as it doesn't have the fangs under the leaves nor could it be K Oak as the...

Thanks Steve
I’ll be sure to calculate the ppm then to double check in case it’s too high or low. Hopefully I will find this clematis feed soon
