Re: Help ID this pest
Thank you SO MUCH! That makes sense as I gave my plants a thorough watering the other day and the pots were still damp when I noticed the bugs. Happy to hear they’re harmless, will just be extra careful when watering from now on. Thanks again!!!

Help ID this pest
Hi all - noticed today that on the saucer of a few of my cacti there were very small bugs crawling about. Didn’t see any in the dirt or on the cacti themselves - just hiding on the saucer under the pot. Pictures aren’t great because they’re so small, but any suggestions on what they are/how to get r...

Degrafting moon cactus
Hi all! I have never purchased a moon cactus before given their relatively short life span. However, I was recently gifted one with a green scion. I know the rule of thumb is that gymnocalycium mihanovichii cannot survive on their own due to lack of chlorophyll, but the one I received is green and y...

ID Pests on Old Man Cactus
Hi all! I was recently gifted a form of cephalocereus senilis from a friend. It’s just a typical old man cactus with the furry white hair, and it doesn’t appear to show any sign of pests or disease- however, I recently had a mealybug scare (a few appeared on one of my plants, but I was able to get t...

Re: Euphorbia mammillaris snapped in half
This is all so incredibly helpful!! Jangaudi - I really appreciate the advice! I will definitely be investing in some perlite or pumice. Greenknight - fingers crossed the bottom part grows a new top! I’ll be sure to water it when necessary. The top half has already dried up quite a bit- hopefully by...

Re: Euphorbia mammillaris snapped in half
Thank you both!! I’ve set both parts aside to dry and I will put the top part in a pot once it has calloused over- hopefully it will root! Thank you again!!

Euphorbia mammillaris snapped in half
Hello all! I recently ordered a Euphorbia mammillaris (corn cob cactus), but when I opened it after it arrived I was devastated to find that it had snapped during shipment. I was offered a refund/replacement, but that still leaves me with a sad cactus. Is there any way I can save him? Maybe through ...

Echinopsis ID Help
Hi all! I’m new to the forum (and cacti collecting in general) and I recently acquired a cactus that I was hoping to get some help identifying. I’ve looked through the general ID guides and I am pretty certain that it is some type of echinopsis. I think I’ve narrowed it down to three, but I could be...
