Re: ID request: 8 plants
@DaveW: thanks for the explanation! Any idea on number 8? Aylostera for sure, but can't figure out which. The flowers are a bit larger than my other Aylosteras. @nachtkabb: 100% convinced. I've hold him next to my larger g. Saglionis en everything matches: color of the spines, ribs, form, everything...

Re: ID request: 8 plants
Thanks again.
I think you're right. I'll wait the flowers to open and then label these two plants.

Re: ID request: 1 plant
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I think it's one of them. I've bought on a cactus show in a nursery. There were also huge plants of 3 types: -Dioscorea elephantipes -a round, ball shape species -and a more flat/non-symmetric species Not sure if this young plant will change a lot when it's full grown,...

Re: ID requests with photos
Thanks! I'll check out number 3 when I'm back home. It might be some dirt, because it traveled by train and bus for more than 2 hours.
A hybrid... I really like the appearance of this plant, but I prefer to have "pure" species. Dunno if I'm weird with this...

Re: ID requests
I've checked this plant out a bit more. I'm 99% sure this is the right ID. There is a photo of a seedling on Cactiguide that has a lot in comon with my plant (color of the spines, form of the plant itself). Thx!Gypscoprotheres wrote:About 5,5 cm.greenknight wrote:How big is #5? If finger size, it could be Echinocereus pentalophus.
