I was thinking that myself Darryl, but I couldn't find any matching pictures on Google images at least so it's hard to tell. It certainly seems like a reasonable genus to place it in though.

It produces dragon fruit as well but I don't know if they're self fertile or you need another plant to cross pollinate with for this.

I don't think it's Facheiroa sp. Pilif, it has some differences and I'm not sure being Brazilian that they'd survive the sub-zero temperatures that this plant has! This said I can certainly see some similarities too!

I've been looking for a while through various sources of Columnar cacti to try and match a name to this one.
