also, your soil, especially on Snow looks high in organic matter. You may need to change the soil to a less rich mix with sand and grit as a large percentage

Nick is not a cactus, he is a euphorbia, I couldnt say what type, I am new here.
Meat, I think may be a Echinopsis oxygona.
Blood I think is some type of Mammillaria.
I am proberly wrong on all acounts...

are all the spines that colour? Spines come in a range of colours from ivory to black, going through, rusts, yellows, oranges and browns.

Fascinating, snakes aren't something we see much of here in the UK (outside of a zoo that is). Thanks for sharing. We have 3 native snakes. The adder or viper, which is our only poisonous one, the grass snake and the smooth snake. Not to mention a couple of large naturalised populations of the Euro...

Hi! I live in Milton keynes and I only have a tiny windowsill and a tea trolly next to it cluxtered with cacti and succlents. I am a beginer too. I would be happy to send you a few bits and pieces of plant if wanted.

The echeveria dint make it and only 1 1/5 of the spear sansevieria survived. The other little succulent, is just looking a bit thirsty but doing nothing at present.... we shall see

How very odd that there should be such a large imbalance in batches, either on way or the other. Does the pollen keep well? Coukd a polleny brush make it through the post and still be viable do you think?

Thanks both. I had noticed that the new offsets were elongated too. It getting as much sun as I can give it, though in this weather, thats not much!

Caudiciform succulent?
I ordered a mixed lot of succulents off of Ebay and this came with them. I believe it to be a caudiciform plant. The bulb/tuber still had a little soil on it (they were sent bare rooted) I have buried it under its soil. What is it please? Is it even a succulent? The leaves looked practically dead, b...

Please help me identify this. I got it a few days ago from Homebase. It was very cramped, so I re-potted it. It was reduced for a quick sale because the pot was smashed. I though he was wonderful!
