Echinocactus grusonii harvest and sow seed question
golden barrel seed pods.jpg Seeing what looks like seed pods developing on my Golden Barrel cacti I am hoping someone can give me some advice on how and when to harvest the seed, and grow them. It is the first month of Autumn here in Australia, what most of you guys would call Fall. I have never gr...

I think this may be a Gymnocalycium, but I'm not sure. Sorry it's not in flower which would help.

Rebutia ???
Rebutia.jpg Just acquired this little guy the other day and only thing it said on the label was Rebutia. Sorry no flowers on it, but I noticed some tiny buds forming among the stalks. I think that bright green dot centre bottom is one. I know it would be easier to I.D. once it flowers but thought I...

Re: Help with Mammillaria variety
Thanks Kamos and iann.
Well I was way off the mark. Just been looking at lots of images of both varieties and boy are they similar. I think though that R. muscula could be the one. When it comes into flower again I might re-post some pics just to confirm. Thanks once again for your help.

Re: Euphorbia I.D.
Thanks esp-imaging. You are correct about the warmth, wetness and my potting medium. I have up to now used a propriety cacti mix and it is surprisingly full of bark. Having read on this forum how to make your own mixes has been great, and I will be repotting everything soon. I look forward to seeing...

Euphorbia I.D.
[attachment=0]Euphorbia.jpg[/attachment
Please help me identify this Euphorbia. As you can see, it's kinda fat and squat. Perhaps I am watering it too much or is this simply its character?

very yellow cactus
https://imageshack.com/i/pl7sWNiHj" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Apart from being very yellow, it seems fine. No soft bits and the new tiny offset in the centre is green. It's been like this for months. It is outside in all weather and is currently enjoying a very sunny an...

Hello from Tasmania
Tasmania, that's the bit at the bottom of Australia. I stumbled upon CactiGuide and was blown away by it. Looking forward to gaining more knowledge and skills regarding the care of my little collection. When I say little, I mean little. I think I have purchased all the varieties of cacti you can in ...
