Re: Feedback on cactus-hobby.eu
Again, in my experience only Kaktusy Nechvil are expedient in their orders. My seeds, ordered from him 6 days ago, are scheduled to be delivered today! He has become a little pricey, and his list is not so big as other Chech sellers, but he is my go-to seller for the winter part of the sowing., alon...

Re: Feedback on cactus-hobby.eu
Hi Armen, I had similar experience with their Fall 2017 and 2018 list. Had to cancel the order. I just wondered if you ever received the seeds and and if they turned out ok.
This is my 4th year ordering with Brno. I never emailed them about the ETA, they are slow, sometimes a month...

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
Expanding inside quarters Almost all of the 190-ish pots/species sown in 2018/2019 have to be housed somewhere, since only a couple of them were removed from the wet-boxes and have passed my resistance test  . I was thinking about how to expand my space under artificial lights, then suddenly ...

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
UPDATE, long overdue.. So, in April all the seedlings were removed to the greenhouse under the benches in their appropriate humidity boxes(i think there were 5 of them). There were no major issues with them, the sciarid flies havent come back since my sowing mix is now 100% mineral. I kept one prop...

Re: Sowing seeds into rock wool
Like this:[http://mammillaria.forumotion.net/t2578 ... sowing/url]. It seems to much trouble and pimping with smal seedlings for me.
Cheers!

Re: Every day new flowers in the greenhouse in Köln
Stunning pictures as always! Question about lhitops-are they always on the top of the shelves in your greenhouse or do you move them? I keep mine in shade over the summer but they lack the winter sun to grow strong as yours...Im still learning to take care of the mesembs, though.

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
In summer they go outside(one batch already is), under the benches in the greenhouse. Until now, I used to get them back to artificial light in the second winter, so almost 2 years of constant vegetation. Since this year I will have to many seedlings to do that again, I will have to change something...

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
Don't know how I missed this but everything looks great. =D> So all these pots from 2018 which are not marked, you know genera but not exactly the name? Little frustrating but it doesn't take the joy of looking at them. Yes, I know some of the genera, but not all. Ariocarpi and Echinofossulocacti a...

I have a batch of other Tephro and Opuntia seeds waiting to be sawn, so Ill give it another try. If anyone is interested, i bought these caps: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0158UO0...

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
Excellent thread! Are the light just normal fluorescents used in households? They are 28wats, i dont thinkt thats the standard size. Also, I think one is blue and other red, but any light in sufficient lumens will do. Sorry for not posting long, been busy with cacti and regular life :) To go chronol...

Re: Gemhunter from now forward~
It has VoS numbers so its Volker Schaedlich - http://www.richtstatt.de/gymnos_v3/news.php?l=en I ordered a bunch of Gymnos from him with excellent germination, so my recommendations! Although, his list is from October and they say Fraileas have to be fresh. You can send him a mail to see if they are...

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
Its the same culture, propagator and boxes-100% humidity and low light levels. As for the care outside the baggies, the seedlings should by then be grown enough to withstand a couple of days completely dry. So, watering every 3-4 days with occasional spraying. I will try to do the acclimatization to...

Re: Bosenoge grows cacti!
I had a longer post but Daiv decided to update the forum just as i edited it :( Took a long time to make myself to do it again... Capillary matting? Not so complicated - saturate the pots as you would with the baggies and than wet the mat underneath the pots. When I see drying of the top dressing I ...

Bosenoge grows cacti!
After many years of lurking through the forum, especially this section, I decided its time for me to contribute to this beautiful place for cacti lovers! My sowing adventures started in winter of 2016, so the oldest seedlings I have are now 2 years old. Thanks to all the useful information I found h...
