Yes you need a smaller pots and one with drainage hole/s in definately.I would mix some perlite in with that soil also or something similar.Your other cacti may be doing ok at the moment but if they are all in the same pots etc they will not be for long.

Hi,it looks over potted and does that pot have a drainage hole in the bottom? Also the soil doesn't look very draining.How often is it watered?

Hi,I agree it looks like it has been damaged.The white stuff is dried latex which the plant exudes when damaged.It looks like milk and is an irritant and poisonous so be careful and wash hands after handling it.

I agree it is a tough one,will probably have to wait for flowers and more growth.Thank you anyway for trying.

Sorry but it isn't my plant and these are the only pics I have.Except there's a couple of it next to a young echinocactus grusoni for comparison if it helps.I cropped them before to just show the plant in question.Here's the two together.

Hi,can you give more details on the Obesa ? Has it got no roots ? What medium is it sat on ? Do you have a pic?
