Ferocactus wislizeni grows quite fast so i'd say this is about right. Even if overpotted/underpotted, you can get around it with how much and how often you water

I always pull them as soon as they show. However, my cacti were very wet at the time i put them in the greenhouse and i thought the weeds could help them dry faster. When they start to wither, i'll know the soil is completely dry

Good results! The tall one looks like a cereus species, maybe forbesii. The yellow one looks like my ferocactus diguetii seedlings but a closer photo would help. The red one could be one of many ferocactus species.
