Re: three unknown Agaves
I'm the worse to help ID agave's but the second I can say is definitely an Aloe species. Hard to say without seeing the flower stalk. A quick guess maybe Aloe Marlothii or Ferox perhaps.

Re: North-central Californian grower
Very nice collection. I'm a sucker for larger cacti and for columnars...may I ask what is the single columnar in the light brown pot in the first pic? Its next to what looks like a small Pachycereus pringlei .

Thanks hoseslinger. I've checked their seed listings and see they have them. I will place an order for some beginning of the week.

Kelly Griffin Aloe Hybrids
I have a few aloe's that I would call your everyday aloe's that you find plus I have a Aloe Forex. Other than the common ones you find I'm able to just stick them in the ground and they grow and multiply non stop. I've been looking lately at the hybrids Kelly Griffin Aloe's which I think look great....

Minime8484 thanks for the info. I've seen the ones in Europe but am hesitant on ordering from overseas, particularly in the additional cost. Let me look at your suggestions stateside then will look overseas. Again thanks.

Is this cacti hard to find - plant or seed?
Hello everyone,
I've been looking on line for either plant or seed of Hildewintera colademononis, also known as Monkey Tail I think. Been looking for plant or seed but haven't seen any on line. Have anyone here any idea on how I could get seed or plant of this cactus?

Re: Where did this come from?
I've found wasps that have entered hibernation without me knowing hidden in my plants/pots. Then when temps start warming up they start moving around and I start thinking where did this come from?

Re: Aloe Ferox
Again thanks for the info. I think what I might do is try to get me a second plant to place in ground. I have other aloe's (I don't know the name off hand but its a very common one as I see it in box stores always) having these in ground and winter doesn't faze them unless it gets a hard freeze. But...

Re: Aloe Ferox
That's good to know, thanks. Can I ask if you have yours planted in ground and if so does it handle your climate ok? Right now I have mine planted in a large pot as shown. I'm alittle hesitate to plant it in ground due to the wet winter conditions I have with lows at times in the high 20's.

Aloe Ferox
Hello everyone. Anyone familiar with Aloe Ferox? I've had it for a while by which it switched hands when I first had it now it came back around and is in my care again. I am wondering can anyone tell me when do they come in to blooming size? Mine is nearly 20 inches tall already. http://i1198.photob...
