Welcome contest goers!
Most of you already know, but my favorite genera is, you guessed it...Opuntiads! So you knew a contest about them was coming at some point ;)

Theme:
This month is Opuntiads
This topic reaches out to all the species found within the subfamily of Opuntia.

This includes:

Cylindropuntia
Austrocylindropuntia
Brasiliopuntia
Consolea
Cumulopuntia
Grusonia/Corynopuntia
Maihuenia
Maihueniopsis
Micropuntia

I am a new member to the site and took this picture on a recent trip and had it identified by Daiv.

I want to show the change in blossom color on my Opuntia violacea. The orange looking flower is a day old, while the yellow one just opened.
