Well most my Echinocereus are about done blooming, I think these shots were some of my best. Thanks, Martin.

Your absolutely right about that Peter, it a pain in the neck to get the true colors on some shots, and Pink is one of them for sure, and dark Purple is one as well. Martin

the purples overwhelm the camera and for some reason pinks come out too light. I dont know why, but whatever the case you have some nice ones :)

would be nice if you added names to them though....

Do the Echinocereus bloom in the day time. Whenever I see pictures of them I never see pictures at night.

Some species seem to open at night - my Echinocereus gentryii only opens at night and is closed by c. 10am or so. But that certainly is the exception for the genus.
