Cold hardy notocactu a question

It looks like he covers them during winter. Many cacti can be grown outside under covers or cold frames. Just got to be completely dry and sheilded from the sun until completely thawed out. Cool website he's got a nice garden.

He does have a nice garden! I have many species I've researchec and can't wait to grow outside , Iam trying to grow Agave now

I planted a Notocactus leningausii outside in the wet Georgia winter with no shelter from rain. It survived without any damage! Meanwhile some "sure bets" like Echinocerius Reichenbachii were killed.

Am tempted to try more Notocacti this winter!

I have several different cacti in a cold frame outside. All survived the winter but I have them covered at night with a large tarp and during the day if it's really windy or rainy. They are kept dry at all times during the winter.
