And the opuntia pads you are using, how young are they? Do you root them before grafting?
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
One of the few cactus lovers in Lebanon (zone 11a) :mrgreen:

Using one to two years old, both, usually graft unrooted pads but if some fail, I re use the pad
