lophocereus browning w/whitish bumps and soft

My quiet cactus is having some problems. It has become quite soft in general, has accumulate brown patches all around it as well as some brownish white bumps that look a bit like miniature mollusks. the cactus used to be smooth and green. The roots are all ok. not rotting and actually quite healthy looking. I am not even sure of the proper name of it (the cactus). any advice would be much appreciated. Two weeks ago i moved it into my kitchen to be closer to the other cacti. i am not sure if it was already getting sick/changing or if it happened only after. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
