Hi there, some days ago I thought my E.obesa had a sunburn, so I didn't worry so much, but then yesterday I have noticed that it is actually a fungus infection, on 2 plants that were close to each other.
The skin of the plants easily fall off, and it smells of dead fish. A week ago I lost a Thelocactus in a similar way, roots seemed to be ok, but skin and spines would fall off with the slightest touch, and the plant also smelled of fish.
I have never had this problem before, I have moved out and took my plants with me to a new house and it's the raining season here now, all plants except these are growing good after the rains.

Re: Euphorbia obesa with fungus
I have posted this on another forum and someone replied that if a plant is smelling of fish, bacteria should be the problem. So perhaps this might be no fungus at all.
I have cut the surface of the plant from the first pic, it's brown inside, the plant is dead but not so soft as when a cactus rots... Bad thing is that some other plants seem to have similar problems.

Is it perhaps too humid where you live or do the plants get too much water??
