non toxic pesticides?

Post by ItchyBigfoot »

Hi my silver torch I recently put outside and it has been doing much better. I noticed some red spider mites in the soil and some other small bugs. But the cactus seems fine I was wondering if anyone knows some pest control ideas because I'm worried the mites might harm my cactus. I will use chemicals but I don't like to so if anyone has any non toxic ideas that would be great. Or are spider mites harmless?

Usually if you can see them running round fast they are predatory spider mites so can be good for the cacti. My plants I keep out doors attrach all manor of tiny beasts including springtails, thrips, spiders and red mites, none of my plants have any damaged caused by them.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.

Yes, the damaging mites are just tiny specks. Something that looks like a little red spider, large enough to be clearly visible with the naked eye, running around on the soil surface, is a predator mite. Those will protect your plants from mite infestation. Smile when you see them. :D
