strange spots on cacti

so i have a few cacti that on the newest part of the growth appears a strange small red dot (randomly no pattern found) that will grow in size untill it reaches about a cm in diameter then stops and terns white it dosnt do anything to the cacti it just disfigures them and is super annoying

any suggestions thanks

The dots with the reddish centre look like scale bugs. The larger ones just scars by the looks of them.

yes the red ones become the scars after a few days. what should i do to prevent this from happening in the futer?

Check out the recent posts on pesticides if you want to use them. I would pick of the scale bugs they will come off faily easily, the scars just ignore nothing much that can be done for those.

no its not a scale bug there is nothing to pick off
