Cacti Seedling Are Yellow

Post by pantak »

Hello Everyone,

I have been growing t peruvians from seed for 5 months at this point they are only 2 cms tall and as you can see they have gone from a deep green to a more yellow. I water them once a week and have them on a 14 hour light cycle. The soil is a mix of sand/peatmoss/worm casings. The room temperature is on average 28 degrees C.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Soil mix looks a bit too organic and I would say they're etiolating pretty heavily... get more light on them and transplant into something a little more inorganic once they're big enough.

More light, maybe less water, and see if you can drop the temperature at night. 28C is OK for the day, but stressful for most cacti if it lasts all night.
