ants

Post by Micaela »

Hello everyone,

this morning I have seen that my Ferocactus (I'm not sure if it's a Fero though..) has several ants in its topsoil. I think they have decided that my cactus soil is their home....
Do you think I should repot my cactus? Are ants dangerous? At the moment where I live the external min temp is about 12-13 °C ---> 53.6-55.4 °F
Thank you in advance for any suggestion :)

That graft doesn't look viable ;)

Ants are more nuisance than anything else, but all their tunnelling can cause problems for the roots. I get rid of them when they start living inside a pot.
