Frithia pulchra needs help

Post by sthh »

Can anyone help me with this frithia? It has cracks on it's leaves and is floppy. It gets about 5 hours of morning direct sun, and gets water every 2 to 3 weeks. Image

Ok. Will give it even more sun. I don't dare to water it now. Might worsen the crack and kill it. Is that ok?

Normally they need regular watering during the growing season (but dry in the winter). but probably a good idea to hold off on watering for a bit. Introduce it to stronger light gradually, as pale as it is it could sunburn.

It looks like it had too much water in the past, but might be a bit thirsty now. Possibly you overwatered in winter when the light wasn't good enough.

What a difference a week makes. Now this fellow get full morning sun. After a watering, I think it will pull through. Btw, it is perpetual summer where I live. Image

Every 2-3 weeks probably isn't often enough for this one in "perpetual summer". Depends on how big the pot is and how much water it can hold though.
