I have a almost 4ft cereus peruvianus I believe and it's showing signs of deterioration, does anyone know if this is from a bug? The last post I posted a pict of it, this one I will show better picts to hopefully get a response. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The stems look perfect except where they are very close together. So perhaps it's physical damage casued by the stems moving against each other if the plant is knocked or moved. Wind will probably cause this sort of damage if the plant is outside (I assume it's indooors?)

The plant has always been a indoor plant, I've had it now 3-4 years It also has whitish webbing coming out where the spines are. I dont know if that means anything or now. . . .

There's a locust somewhere in your yard having its vision quest.

Re: Is something eating my cactus?
I'm pretty sure that was a bit of a joke. It looks like a cereus peruviana not a san pedro. It could be some kind of attempt to eat the cactus by some kind of animal, looks a bit large for locust damage to me but I'm not experienced with this kind of pest we don't get them in the UK. The plant looks to have healed so do not think it's anything to worry about.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.

yeah I was just kidding. I don't think peruvianus has mescaline. I've had locusts and other similar pests eat out chunks like that. Mice too, but that looks too high for a mouse.
