I was trying to clean a melted bug trap off my window when I slipped and splashed some nail polish remover. Some of it hit a leaf of one of my succulents. The leaf started turning dark and oily. In retrospect I should have pulled it off right away, but I didn't. Now it's spreading to other leaves. Did I just kill it? What can I do to help?
Here is a picture. It's infected even more now. You can see how dark and shiny the leaves are becoming – they're supposed to be light and fuzzy. Is there any hope left?
Help! Spilled nail polish remover
Re: Help! Spilled nail polish remover
I would have thought it would be quite damaging to the leaves it touched, but not to others. You could still remove any affected leaves just in case. This sort of plant can be cut almost to a stump and still grow back, so don't be afraid of removing any rot that you think might be spreading.
