Echinopsis subdenudata
My echinopsis subdenudata flowered some weeks ago but is now not looking very well. It has gone a reddish colour and is very skinny. Does anyone know if this is usual or any ideas what I should do please?

It was very hot and sunny a few weeks ago - do you think that could be the problem? I will check the roots to see how they are as well though.

A photo of it would help and a little about any recent changes youv'e made to it if any. Also how long have you had it,how long it's been in it's pot, what soil mixture is it in,how often you water it and it's location e.g indoors or out and how much direct sun it gets.
Where abouts in the world are you ?

If it is purplish red, too much sun. I get that in spring if the weather is cool and then strong sun. Too much sun too soon.

Re: Echinopsis subdenudata
I am in the UK. I have had this cactus around a year and I repotted it last year in a mixture of Westland cactus compost and sand. I would say it gets around 4 hours of direct sun per day but I will move it to a shadier location and see if that helps at all. Many thanks for your help!
