I noticed some whitish spots on my gymnocalycium. I have no idea what they are? Scales? Spider mite damage? Sunburn?
Whitish spots on my gymnocalyciun
Re: Whitish spots on my gymnocalyciun
I cannot tell for sure, but looking at the magnified image I can rule scale insects (both soft scales and armored scales) out.
Both those insects have clearly outlined bodies and your spots seem to have edges that are not well defined.

Maybe sun burn. The glass can reflect and magnify sunlight and focus it. They don't look very big or particularly bad just keep an eye on them to make sure they ate not getting bigger.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.
