Is there any hope for this guy?
I reported this cactus I found in a long forgotten dark corner of the greenhouse. Is there anything else I can do to save it?

Re: Is there any hope for this guy?
It looks pretty much dead the roots have rotted away and the colour suggests it may be rotten isnide the stem too. It might be worth cleaning what's left of the roots and removing the dead bits the planting in a very dry and gritty mix. Leave out the organics in the soil they are not needed and it might survive but it looks too far gone to me.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.
I DONT MIND

I agree. If there's enough left after you remove all the "dead bits", there's a slim chance it might recover - worth a shot, but don't get your hopes up.
If a small cutting is all you can salvage, you might try the method here - http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/viewtop ... 88#p328571
