Eve's needle losing its leaves

Post by ivan123 »

Hi,

2 years ago, during the summer, I collected a broken part of "wild" eve's needle (Austrocylindropuntia subulata) on one of the islands of Dalamatia. I planted it in a pot and it started growing fast, pushing out three new stalks (it only had one when I collected it). But about a month ago, it started losing its leaves very rapidly. Stalks still look healty, but I am worried that this might be a sign of some bigger problem.

During the autmun and winter, I water it about once a month. It does not have a direct sunlight during this time (which may be a problem?).

Thanks in advance!

Don't think it's a problem. They do lose their leaves, especially in winter and/or when dry - when it's normally resting.
