very sick euphoria mammillarius variegated

can I save this plant? propagate it?
I took over care several weeks ago. I replanted in sandy soil and moved to bright south-facing sunroom which gets down to approx mid 40s Fahrenheit overnite.

I water 1/2 to 3/4 cup water approx every 5 - 7 days.
it seems to have 2 main stems but I don't know if they share a "root ball"

it is developing healthy-looking pups/arms/branches (2 pics)
it seems to have roots attaching brown arms to main stem (see pic)

I have no idea how to care for this plant. please cover all the basics including terminology.

It looks ok to me. Make sure it is potted in low-organic well draining soil. Hold back watering until it starts to warm up in Spring. A bright sunny spot is good. Here is a good link for general care and propagation: http://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/SUCC ... ammillaris.
That could be roots in the last picture, Not sure if that is common in this species. My E. mammillaris is young compared to yours.

Warning: All Euphorbias contain a white sap that can be irritating to eyes and mucous membranes. If contact is made with this white sap, take care to not touch face or eyes before washing hands with soap and water.
