wound on cacti, what should I do?

Post by Gail »

I picked up this cactus today and didn't notice this wound until I got home. Its not mushy or wet, should I do anything to it?

I think it's starting to heal. Keep a close eye on it. If it's starting to spread, scoop it out with a hot knife

Thanks, would I need to treat it with anything if I do have to operate on it?

Now that i had a clearer look on it, it looks fine but keep an eye on it. If you do operate, the hot knife will do a good job of sealing and sterilizing
