White stuff on Pachycereus Pringlei

I will probably need to take a better photo but any idea what this is? Scale? Scar tissue? I haven't started picking at it but it looks like it affects 3 areoles. Thanks for any advice.

It looks like whatever has done this stopped some time earlier. I would recommend monitoring it if it spreads.
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
One of the few cactus lovers in Lebanon (zone 11a) :mrgreen:

Thank you ElieEstephane, I'll keep an eye on it but I did try to pick at it a little to see if there were bugs in it but whatever that is it's hard as a rock.

I agree with ElieEstephane. That does look like some old injury. If it does not spread, all you got is just cosmetic in nature.
