Just a short yes or no question- does the plant die after flowering(offshoots not included)
Evidence points to yes.

Every record of Kalanchoe thyrsiflora has the note about dieing. I guess you meant that one?? :oops:

Well, from what ive seen, some pull of a trick like aeonium and yucca so they sprout new growth centers

Where as true monocarpic would mean agave or sempervivum or bromeliads.
