Another Texas Native for ID Please

This plant was given to me last year and you can see the new growth that was achieved during the past year. I have no idea what this cactus is? I wish I had a bloom photo. Hopefully this year it will bloom.

I am going to guess some kind of super-stretchy Escobaria. E. vivipara?

vivipara looks right to me too, maybe var. radiosa.

Thanks guys. I believe it must be neomexicana (radiosa) after reading the description in my book Cacti of the Trans-Pecos by Powell. The brown-tipped spines and the spine count coincide well. Thanks for your help.

Nice plants, Ed! That one sure is streatched out! Must have been growing under a bush or something.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

The old growth was the way I received the plant, and the new top growth has been since I've had the plant. It seems to like it's new location. It is about 8 or 9" tall which I suppose is the optimum height for it. I hope it blooms this year.
