I also only counted 48 states on the Political Divisions page.

well thats just not right... leaving alaska out seems reasonable (sorry alaskan indoor cacti growers) though. at least habitat wise.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Maine do not have native cacti.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

I saw some prickly pear in Maine, I am not saying its native but it was at least growing there.

And I will do my best to start some Prickly Pear in Vermont--maybe random along the highway. Just call me Johnny Cactuseed! (Actually, Johnny Throw-a-pad-on-the-groundseed.)

I actually wish I could plant cacti with nasty glochids all over some of the suburbs of PHX.
