Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Post by TexanEd »

My wife and I recently took an ocean cruise from Los Angeles, Ca. down to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. This Baja Mexico area is called the Mexican Riviera. Cabo is a very expensive resort, catering to wealthy Americans and Canadians. I took some photo's of cacti landscaping in Cabo San Lucas. I don't know the names of the cacti but they are nice looking plants.

I've been to Baja maybe a dozen times and have never made it south of Loreto. I would love to do extensive cactus exploring in the Cape Region someday! Great photos, Ed. Hope you had fun.

Nice cactus plants! And a Euphorbia and a few others, I see to.

Did you get any fruits off those Ferocactus?
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

No daiv, I did not get any of the fruits. I guess I didn't think to do so at the time. I would like to have explored the surrounding desert-like hilltops but had no transportation. I understand the area is abundant with cacti species.
