Phaeacantha fruit from winter hardy plants

Post by mjazz »

I know separating seed from the fruit can be a time consuming experience, so does anyone with winters live near some O. Phaeacantha? I'd like to get some of the fruits.
I can either purchase these or trade you an equal amount of O. Humifusa fruit.
Thanks - Dave 8)
ps: I learned one thing the hard way: You don't want them to dry out first. :|

You just want the seed? Mesa Garden has seed from 3 Phaecantha clones.

O. phaeacantha seeds

I have a large plant (v. comanchica) in my cactus garden with lots of fruits. You pay the postage and I will harvest the seeds for you and send them. I just threw away a bunch of pads which I pruned off but may be able to get a couple more if you want them.

You can PM me with your answer and address if you want.

I just thought it would be cheaper getting the seed from the fruits than buying pads or seeds from companies.
