Another very common cactus
Another very common cactus
I have seen these kind of cacti in garden centers over here but I'm not quite sure what it is. Weberbauerocereus johnsonii?
(rather small in a 5 cm pot but I think it will columnar)Re: Another very common cactus
Could aswell be.
Re: Another very common cactus
Nope, this is that one that we debate as being either a Haageocereus or Cleistocactus icosagonus.

Re: Another very common cactus
You are probably right, I had almost forgotten how that one looked at that time. This specimen looks much the same but the spines are much more red/brown (that one had yellow spines). This is how my specimen looks now (25 cm).daiv wrote:Nope, this is that one that we debate as being either a Haageocereus or Cleistocactus icosagonus.
Re: Another very common cactus
we really need someone to get flowers on one! You would think your plant would be big enough for that - especially if it was the Cleistocactus. The dense spines at the bottom seem out of place for either, however. The plot thickens?

Re: Another very common cactus
The last picture looks similar to my Espostoa mirabilis.
Re: Another very common cactus
My specimen looks very much like an Espostoa mirabilis if you look at some other pictures on the net. I guess then I will not see any flowers anytime soon if ever in these circumstances. It's just a coincindence that it is placed just beside an E. lanata in the picture
