Mammillaria herrerae in the picture above had two of the stems rot and I removed them on me so thats why its in a non symetrical shape, I put a rock where the two stems would normally be. Seems to be OK. This is the time of year when I usually find my losses, I always lose a few cactus every year. Or have to do surgery to save parts of them.

Luckly I found this one in time and saved the other stems. fingers crossed big old cactus like to rot compared to smaller younger ones.

nice Ariocarpus fissuratus plants, and three of them in flower at once!
I do have seven (plus one, which may not be alive much longer) good-sized A. fissuratus in my collection. They are all flowering size. However, only one did produce one blossom thus far. Perhaps something is still going to happen before it does get a little too cold. I am also waiting for my A. retusus x A. agavoides hybrid to flower and one of my A. retusus ssp. confuses plants, which I purchased from Miles a little over two years ago. Those will then be the last plants to bloom this calender year.
