Is this terminal?
This Gymno has turned a funny colourover the winter. I thought it was on its way out but a few days ago I noticed that a couple of flower buds had started to sprout. The plant itself is still solid, no squishy parts. Will it ever recover its greenness or is it in termjnal decline?

Re: Is this terminal?
Have you watered it since spring has arrived? Might just be shriveled from its winter rest.

I believe it can recover. They get red-brown sometimes.

It's been watered a couple of times but not overmuch as I thought it might have had it. I'll start to give it a bit moe from now on.

Gymnocalycium bayrianum var. brevispinum would be my guess.

I think it's fine, just a bit dehydrated. Gymnos like warmth, may be a bit slow to get started in spring in northern climates.

Fingers crossed, then!
