Thanks guys/gals, glad it helps
Fricii and jourdaniana are very different cacti. fricii is a well accepted and wild found cactus. Lophophora jourdaniana is a cultivated plant, although probably exists in the wild i don't think anyone has found any. jourdaniana has darker red-pink flowers than fricii, and also has small spines that are more noticeable with the naked eye than other lophophora that are not visible with the naked eye, usually.
i am making a better guide with descriptions, but that will be added here later. you can check here for the slow progress of it. http://kadasgarden.tripod.com/Lophophorachart.html

thanks guys! hope it helps. i am in need of a couple mature plants of som kinds, which is why i have not added them here. perhaps someone here has some to add?
there is also an Astrophytum asterias and myriostigma in the making, but that is an even slower and amazingly expensive project lol.

Well done Loph!
good to see them all together for comparison.
here is lophophora williamsii var. caespitosa flower:
(im sure you can find a better one actually in focus):
have to remove the offsets to allow the main head to grow to a decent size so it can flower.
(yes this specimen is caespitose.. the offsets are small around the base of plant).

very nice, thanks for the pic! i often remove the offsets as well, but once they reach a certain size they start leaving ugly scars which i dont like. i have 2 that i am picking like pimples on a 14 year old, but the rest i tend to leave to clump away
how old is yours? looks great!
