This was a hard one. I have lots of favorite pictures, most of which are not cacti.

Tony, that one has an interesting flower. What species is that again. I mean I know it's an Opuntiad but which one is it?
The flower looks like a cross between a cholla and an Opuntia.
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

The weather was too nasty, even for penguins. This would have qualified because of the little mesemb in the picture.

Is there any way I can vote for the penguin?

Well the penguin does look quite succulent to me.

Hi Ken!
I'm glad to see you jump right in on the picture contest. I noticed your pic entry is a bit on the small side and I see you wanted to make an Avatar.
What software are you currently using to process images? We can walk you through it or suggest some free software that you can use to make images the size you want them. Small for Avatar and bigger for the pic contest.

Such nice pics!
Iann- your entry is the first time that a fuzzy photo is actually appropriate in a contest!
Is it an Ariocarpus?

Tough decision! I narrowed it down to about 10 pictures and had my family vote on their favorite.

Is it an Ariocarpus?
Certainly is. Very fuzzy, but slightly lop-sided with a pup growing on it.
