As usual, those are excellent habitat pictures Juan, it's the second best thing to visiting the area. Good to see the pics of Eulychnia, I think we don't see
enough
of this genus in cultivation.

I'm sorry if I dont put too much information about locations. I will try to not mix the locality and plants.
and I will start with Antofagasta, the 2º region ("¿state?") of Chile:
Florencia in "la Portada de Antofagasta".
and I climb 2 mountains, more than 800 mt, trying to find Eriosyce recondita, but was imposible. I only found Copiapoa calderana ssp. atacamensis
Antofagasta is at 1371 km. at north of Santiago.

if you remember, that I time I call that plant "thelocephala"... but in the last journal of the BCSS, H. Walter and W. Maechler described this plants as
Eriosyce napina ssp. riparia

These pictures are fantastic. What is the glass container over the plant for? I guessed it was to speed the flower opening.
