Well, I had grown some of these for several years but have lost plants afterwards.
So I am trying to see them every when in their habitat. Here is bloom of Sedum lanceolatum at ~2450 m above sea in Rocky Mountains.

Just got back from one of the more epic hikes of my life...... Mt. Whitney! Summited on Friday 8/4/2023.

And of course the trip involved some cacti... There was a fair amount of Opuntia basilaris around Whitney Portal up to about 8500 feet.

Wow - you have been up much higher then me. I did it the easy way last weekend, by shoreline. But smoke did not help to save those views.
