Well, seems there are too many photos this month! The forum software limits the number of options for the poll, so as soon as i figure things out, the voting can begin.

Sorry for the delay.

Yep, we had to bump the max number of options allowed in a poll.

Well, I had to give my vote to Ralph. That mound with the red fruits and the white and yellow flowers was just too much. But Lee and MildBill get honorable mention.

The fruits of M. prolifera taste like unripe strawberrys or like gooseberries.
Every time when my son (9 years old) visit me and we're in the greenhouse, he want to eat some of it. :)
Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

I am totally in awe of everyone's clumping cacti. I am so envious of the members who live or have the opportunity to visit the areas where cacti grow in their natural enviroment!:)

Try 71 votes and three days left!

This contest really went off. I voted near the start so I'm getting anxious to move on to the next one already. :o

Lots more fun with all the added participation!

Notice that in this contest 1st and 3rd went to non-habitat plants. Considering the earlier discussion about habitat plant inclusion, I think we can settle once and for all that as long as you only post your own pictures in contests, it is OK in habitat or not. The numbers do not support it as being an unfair advantage.

Anyway, I do not intend to ramble on about it, but I don't think we had closure on this topic.

My anecdotal observation is that pictures of cultivated plants generally get more ooohs and ahs than habitat photos. I think this is partly due to the luxuriously beautiful plants we tend in our collections, with good conditions, fertilizer, etc. Habitat plants are rougher. It's also harder to get good flower pics from habitat plants, just as a matter of timing.
