Ya Tim it is. I like it because of it’s hooked spines and it grows pretty good too. Here’s a peniocereus.. flowered exactly 1 year ago on the same day

You have such beautiful cactus! I'm just starting my collection, mostly from seed, so I hope they get to grow as healthy as yours in a few years (decades?) time...

Thanks I appreciate it. Just make sure you give them lots of light, heat, and acidified water..

Got this one at Home Depot couple months ago.. didn’t even remember I had it and found this pictures in my wife’s phone from a couple weeks ago. It is defiantly not my favorite cactus but for some reason might be my favorite flower.

What cactus has that striking 'starburst' form--deep red center and center stripes on each petal (fourth one in your post of the 13th)? I also love the frilly fuchsia colored Thelocactus. Great photos from Mexico as well!

Oh! And I have one of those...still young, though. Can't wait until it produces its first flower.

Some of the tall skinny gymnocactus and turbinicarpus. I’ve been growing cactus for less than 7 years but one thing I have learned is they love sun. When I buy them now i keep them in some shaded light but next growing season full sun. They either love it or don’t. The ones that do get used to the sun will grow a lot faster
